Fender has decided to hand the money over to the Music Venues Trust, in acknowledgment of the crucial part local spots fulfilled in his initial steps.
"As an artist would not have achieved what I am doing today if it weren't for all the performances I performed around the region, and beyond, when I was just getting going," said Sam Fender. "These spaces are renowned, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these locations have ceased operations – approximately one-sixth of the entire UK sector.
Recently, top acts including Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the MVT in its initiatives to support the industry, by including a small levy to their admission fees, which supports independent venues.
Fender also participated, collecting in excess of £100,000 on his recent tour to support thirty-eight grassroots venues across the UK.
These funds helped locations that were facing potential shutdown due to challenges stemming from water damage, blazes and personal losses, as well as permit problems, legal disputes and sound issues.
Some locations obtained monetary aid in improving facilities and sound and lighting systems that directly benefitted performers and concertgoers.
"The idea that revenue from concerts in large arenas backs the smaller venues, where it kicks off for musicians like me, is just sensible," Sam Fender has stated.

Also winners that year the group contributed their prize to a MS organization after a close contact was identified with the disease.
"The victory was ample," said artist Small. "The money was the extra but we could do without the bonus, because we had the main prize. So our victory touched somebody else's life."
Recently, the trust shared it had saved a couple of grassroots venues in the South East, by bringing them into local control.
The Joiners in the city and the second in Bristol were bought under the public acquisition scheme, which is supported by Arts Council England and supporters who acquire "ownership units" in the venues.
